How we work:
Houston Brand Design offers fractional brand leadership contracts, fixed-price project fees, and monthly retainers for consulting or ongoing management services, all designed to fit the way you do business.
Fractional Brand Leadership Contracts:
Fractional brand leadership is a way of providing economical, time-limited brand development and advisory services to organizations that don’t want to spend the money to hire a Chief Brand Officer. Fractional brand leadership gives you executive expertise when you need it, but not when you don’t.
Why Fractional?
Cost Efficiency: Many organizations find the cost of a full-time CBO prohibitive. Fractional brand leadership allows these companies to access high-level expertise without the full financial commitment of a permanent executive.
Flexibility: Organizations can bring in fractional brand leaders for specific strategic projects, such as rebranding, entering new markets, or launching new products. This flexibility can be particularly valuable for organizations undergoing change or facing fluctuating needs.
Expertise: Fractional brand leaders often bring a breadth of experience from working in a variety of companies and industries. This diverse background can provide innovative perspectives and strategies that internal executives might not offer.
Niche Focus: Some industries or companies may not require a full-time CBO but still need high-level brand strategy intermittently. Fractional leaders can address these niche needs effectively.
Strategic Transitions: During mergers, acquisitions, or major strategic pivots, having a fractional brand leader can help navigate these transitions smoothly without committing to a long-term role.
Fixed-Price Projects:
Fixed-price contracts are for specific deliverables such as logo and identity design, development of websites or digital products, print design or copywriting.
Advantages of Fixed-Price Contracts:
Budget Control: Fixed-price projects are just that. The budget for the project is established upfront, and if there are no changes to the project scope during the process, the price quoted is the price paid.
Ownership: Most fixed-price contracts are for the creation of intellectual property, such as logos, brochures or websites. It is customary for Houston Brand Design to sign over ownership rights to everything we create for our clients. There are no “black boxes” or strings with our fees; if you commission it, you own it.
Monthly Retainers:
We charge monthly retainers for certain ongoing activities like search engine optimization, advertising, social media marketing, website maintenance and consulting. We also can create hybrid contracts to accommodate managing multiple types of services.
